Resources

TUNER – The very best tuner to use — and it works for anything from guitars to brass/woodwind instruments and in just about situation. It has a “vibration” and “mic” mode. Vibration helps you tune from the vibrations from you instrument and are extremely accurate in loud situations or when you need to tune in a very quiet situation (without a mic). Snark has many kinds of tuners — but the one you want is the specific Snark ST-2 “Super Tight”

MUSIC THEORY – Wanting to learn music theory in a book format? This is a great resource (available both digitally and hard copy). Music Theory: From Beginner to Expert by Nicolas Carter

GUITAR – A great guitar for both beginning and intermediate players — it comes with all the essentials you’ll need to get started in a bundle. Yamaha JR1 Acoustic Guitar Bundle. But if are OK spending a little more, this guitar has an onboard tuner and can be used with a PA system directly and it a little more “moderately pro” in nature. Fender FA-125CE

IN EAR HEADPHONE MONITORS – For in ear monitors on stage for music, the best for the buck are the SIMGOT MT3’s which are noise-cancelling and get the job done very well without spending big $$$ on custom ears

CAPO – If you are needing a guitar capo — this is the one I feel is the best bang for your buck. I also like that it can be used for a variety of instruments. GUITARX Guitar Capo (Acoustic and Electric Guitars) or if you have a nylon string classical guitar — here is a capo I recommend.

CHORD BOOK – This is a great guitar chord book for beginners through more advanced — it shows not only the chords, but here your finger positions ought to be. Guitar: The First 100 Chords for Guitar: How to Learn and Play Guitar Chords: The Complete Beginner Guitar Method

GUITAR WALL HANGERS – These are my favorite guitar wall hangers — metal, three points of contact, and when they are combined with locks…they stay secure on your wall with no worry of it pulling off the wall. HERCULES Stands GUITAR STAND (GSP39WBPLUS)
